Dr Michael Gardner is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with consulting suites in Belgrave Heights and some limited availability in Glen Iris.

Qualifications: MBBS, MP, FRANZCP, Cert Child Adol Psych, MFSM

His areas of interest are Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Eating Disorders and Complex Trauma as well as long-term psychotherapy. He also has experience treating medical practitioners.

Dr Gardner is a Member of the Freudian School of Melbourne, School of Lacanian Psychoanalysis. He also sits on the Committee for Examinations at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and has been involved in the teaching and supervision of psychiatry registrars for almost ten years, including the management of impaired junior medical practitioners.
