About The Role:

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and innovative individual with the skills, experience, and flexibility to work in our Inpatient Aged Psychiatry Program.  Suitable applicants need a vision for excellence, passion for providing quality care, and keen to meet the challenges of the complex physical, cognitive, mental health and spiritual needs of our elderly patients and their families.

What we are looking for:

  • You must be team player with a positive, flexible and adaptable outlook
  • Highly developed group therapy skills, as well as a strong theoretical base in CBT, ACT, Mindfulness
  • You will have a vision for excellence and a strong interest in program development, and you will enjoy the challenge of providing quality care and service to people with complex mental health issues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist (AHPRA) or Social Worker (AASW) with experience and/or interest in Aged Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete individual assessments and interventions as required as well as develop, deliver, implement and evaluate group programs.
  • Ability to conduct home visits, attend family meetings and liaise with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience referring to and navigating NDIS and My Aged Care.
  • Capacity to prioritize, problem solve and manage time effectively.
  • A flexible, innovative, empathetic and compassionate approach.

Renumeration:

  • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and as per the relevant Delmont EA.

Requirements:
