Dr Ganesan Duraiswamy is a sessional Consultant Psychiatrist at Delmont Private Hospital.  His particular area of expertise is psychotherapy and has over 12 years professional experience.

Dr Duraiswamy focuses not only on symptom reduction, but improving his clients quality of life and functional recovery. Ganesan believes in a holistic approach, his patient-centred style emphasises psychological and social factors, also incorporating Yoga and meditation where appropriate. 

Dr Duraiswamy attained his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree from Kilpauk Medical College in India. He is passionate about teaching - currently a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, he has also provided formal education to GPs and trained psychiatric registrars, interns and medical student from Deakin and Monash University. He is also keen on research, publishing the most cited research article on Yoga and Schizophrenia, as well as being a Senior Researcher on a variety of research projects and presenting at many international conferences.
