We welcome Stage 3 Psychiatry Trainees (including overseas trained) to complete their training here at Delmont. The Hospital has established a clear and supported pathway to commence private practice at Delmont upon completion of training.
About the role
Delmont provides the rare opportunity to conduct registrar training experience in a private setting.
There are training positions available for:
- Advanced Aged
- Generalist Adult
- Substance Use and Addiction
Each role includes working with high-prevalence disorders, voluntary patients, and patients receiving ECT and TMS. There is no on-call or after-hours work required.
The registrars have supervisors that support them by providing positive experiences and real mentorship. This position is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in private practice since no public hospital employs registrars.
This role is most suited for stage 3 trainees in their last 6-24 months of training and are interested in transitioning to private work as a consultant upon completion of training.
